THE JOURNEY
From the Earth to Your Hand
01 Formation
Millions of years of tectonic pressure deep within the Colombian Andes, where hot saline fluids crystallized into emerald under conditions that will never repeat
02 Extraction
Months of careful artisanal mining in Colombia's most respected regions, where experienced miners read subtle geological signals to locate productive veins
03 Selection
We evaluate hundreds of rough stones to identify the few that meet our standard, assessing color, saturation, transparency, and inclusion character
04 Cutting
Each stone is shaped entirely by hand by a master cutter in Bogotá who traces and polishes every facet with a sensitivity passed down from master to apprentice. A single miscalculation destroys the stone.
05 Setting
Designed and fabricated by hand in our workshop. No mass production, no templates. The setting serves the stone.
THE ARTISAN
One Stone, One Artisan, One Conversation
Cutting a Colombian emerald is one of the most delicate exercises in the lapidary arts. Every stone is traversed by fissures, fluids, and inclusions that make each gesture irreversible.
Our cutters work without automated machines, adapting their technique to the uniqueness of each stone, anticipating hidden tensions, listening to the material. It is a discipline of mastery and sensitivity where experience and intuition unite to reveal the beauty of a stone that has waited millions of years to be seen.
THE COMMISSION
Creating Something Entirely Yours
For clients who wish to create a bespoke piece, the process begins with a conversation: what does this piece mean, what occasion does it honor, what stone character speaks to you.
From there we guide you through stone selection, design development, and fabrication, a process that typically spans four to eight weeks.
There is no rush. The emerald took sixty million years. We can take the time to honor it.
"Everyone is wearing the same manufactured stone, this is for those who refuse to."
